Dollface: Done but not satisfied
This is a piece I started months ago but lost interest in because it was taking too long at the time. Workflow and speed is a major factor any painting. I have come a long way since first I dove into this painting. So trying to finish this up and make it look decent, for me, was like polishing a turd. Excuse my crassness. If I was to do this painting again I would be starting with a different approach and skillset. Unfinished pieces is like food sitting in the fridge. The older it gets the less likely you are to finish/eat it.

CGTalk: Daily Sketch: Kool Chair -45 min
I did another Daily Sketch today.
Yes, you too can have a kool chair! Just take any Non-cool chair and add Blues Brothers hat, sunglasses, chops and voila!! Instant Kool! Just make sure not to sit in the chair with the sunglasses on it or poof! Non-cool chair again.

CG Talk: Daily Sketch: Lonely at the Top - 55 min
Did a CGtalk Daily Sketch called Lonely at the Top. I only get 55 min to do it so I did not get it as refined as I wanted. But I like it. Its good practice for taking a painting from concept to completion in a very short time.

CGtalk Challenge WIP
Ode of Destruction
So I have started working on the color. I now realize I should have created the basic elements in 3D. Though I wanted to practice drawing manufactured elements in perspective, this was not the project to do that. The ideal end result has far too much detail and the less than perfect perspective causes too much struggle. This brings the workflow to a slow drudge with constant paint-overs. I think I will redo the boilers, pipes and speakers in 3D. Many famous digital painters do this anyway. Me being a 3D artist, why shouldn't I. I will leave practicing perspective to small drawing sessions.
