I took some screenshots of The Good German. It has great "film noir" shadows to study. I limited myself to 10 min for each painting.

Found a cool photo taken in the '40s. I think it's National Geographic. Anyways it had great contrast to play with so I painted a version of it in Photoshop and this is what I ended up with.

Blog

I don't really like the word "Blog". It sounds like a noise someone would make when they are about to throw up. "BLoggg..!!, Uhhh.., I dont feel so good..." But it's the easiest way I can think of to keep my online examples updated.
